VAR Controversy: Denmark’s Andersen Goes from Hero to Enemy in World Cup Qualifier Against Germany

After a first half where lightning and sparks were the protagonists, the second half started with a lot of rhythm. And less than 10 minutes into the second half when Andersen scored the first goal of the game for Denmark, but it was annulled by the VAR by HALF A FOOT.

And as if that were not enough, in the subsequent play, Andersen himself would touch the ball with his hand inside the area, leading to a penalty being called for Germany and Kai Havertz making it 1:0 for the home team.

From hero to enemy in a thousandth of a second.
