Boca del Río, Veracruz.- With the absence of Queen Yuri, who could not attend due to work reasons, the first large parade of Carnival 2024 was held in Veracruz.
Around 6:00 p.m., the contingent of 25 floats with more than 70 troupes, musical groups and dancers began the journey of more than six kilometers along Ruiz Cortines and Manuel Ávila Camacho boulevard to Hernández y Hernández street.
What groups participated in the first ride of the Veracruz Carnival 2024?
According to logistics, the parade began with the sweeping group of the Ministry of Public Security (SEP) followed by the Tradiciones de México Academy, the Susy batoneras, the Musical Band of the 1 Naval zone and the Alejandra batoneras.
The first float to parade is that of the Carnival queen, however, due to work reasons, Yuri could not attend and it will not be until this Sunday that she will be present at these Jarocha festivities.
Therefore, on this occasion it was the car of the King of Carnival that opened the parade of the 100th anniversary of this festival.
This first parade started from south to north, so people gathered towards the boulevard area to be among the first to appreciate the event.
Thousands of people attended the place, many of these tourists from different parts of the country, especially from Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Puebla, Hidalgo and some more.
Although security elements tried to close the promenade area, dozens of people entered, colliding with some dancers.
The second ride of the Carnival will take place this Sunday at 6:00 p.m. and this time it will be from north to south starting from Hernández y Hernández street at the Mar y Tierra Hotel.
