Verstappen wins Austrian Grand Prix sprint

Verstappen, who was also the fastest in the first two sprint races of the season in Miami and China, started this sprint race from the first position, but was overtaken by McLaren’s Lando Norris on the fifth lap, but Verstappen regained the lead at the very next corner, defending the first place until the finish.

The “Red Bull” pilot was followed by “McLaren” pilots Oskar Piastri and Norris in second and third place, losing by more than four seconds.

Qualification for the main competition will take place on Saturday, but the Austrian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday.

Verstappen is the leader of the World Championship standings with 227 points, Norris is second with 156 points, and Leclair is third with 150 points. Sainz has 120 points, while Perez has 112 points.

This season, 24 rounds will be held in the F-1 championship.
