Very unfavorable development for the Netherlands in the Czech Republic match

The Netherlands is anxiously awaiting which opponent it will face in the eighth finals of the European Championship. The Dutch team will fervently hope for a victory for the Czech Republic against Turkey, but there are unfavorable developments in that match: the Czechs have to continue with ten men after 21 minutes.

Antonín Barák unnecessarily held on to ex-NEC player Ferdi Kadioglu in the eleventh minute, for which the Czech immediately received a yellow card from the Romanian referee István Kovács.

Barák unfortunately ran into his second card nine minutes later. The Fiorentina midfielder tried to tap the ball to a teammate in the crowd and his shoe ended up on that of Ismail Yüksek, who screamed in pain.

The red card for the Czech Republic, as mentioned, is not favorable for the Netherlands. If the Czech Republic wins against Turkey, there is a huge chance of a confrontation between the Netherlands and Romania. In that case, England will be avoided by Orange.

There is another shortcut via the other match: if Georgia wins against Portugal, the Netherlands will also play against Romania. Georgia took the lead against Portugal early in the match on Wednesday through a goal by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
