Victoriaville Cactus Named Top Canadian Senior Men’s Baseball Team by CABC

The Canadian Amateur Baseball Central (CABC) revealed on Sunday its top 10 of the best Canadian senior men’s baseball teams AA and AAA and the Victoriaville Cactus sits at the top.

With a practically perfect record of 9 wins and no defeats over a major part of their season, the Cactus takes first place in this list.

The Acton Vale Beavers and the Newmarket Hawks of the Greater Toronto Baseball League find themselves, respectively, in second and third position on this list.

The CABC highlighted the work of the best pitchers and hitters from each team on the list.

Pitchers John Loschiavo, Rylan Sandoval and Etienne Blanchette and hitters René-David Pelchat and Vincent Ruel stood out during this season. Etienne Blanchette was also named one of the best hitters on his team.

After suffering a first setback against the Sherbrooke Expos on Sunday, the Cactus ended its season with 10 victories and only one defeat.

Their next match is scheduled for Friday where the team will face Cascades Go Sport from Shawinigan.
