VIDEO ⟩ “Panthers” hockey players are one victory away from the Stanley Cup

The “Panthers” beat the Edmonton “Oilers” 4-3 (0-1, 1-0, 3-0) and made it 3-0 in the series with four wins.

At the end of the first period, Sam Reinhart put the guests in the lead, but in the second minute of the second period, Warren Fogel tied the score.

However, by the end of the second period, “Panthers” were able to get a safe 4-1 advantage, with goals from Vladimir Tarasenko, Sam Bennett and Alexander Barkov.

In the final third, “Oilers” recovered two goals with the efforts of Philip Bruber and Ryan MacLeod, but could not fight back and settled for the third loss in the series – 3:4.

The fourth match of the series will take place there even in Edmonton on June 15, but if more games are needed, they will take place on June 18 in Sunrise, June 21 in Edmonton and June 24 in Sunrise, respectively. All games start at 3 p.m. Latvian time.

NHL rookie Balinsky has not played in the Stanley Cup.

The “Panthers” team has played in the NHL finals twice so far and lost both times, like the Colorado Avalanche in 1996 and the Vegas Golden Knights last year. In those years, Sandis Ozoliņš and Teodors Bļugers became the winners of the Stanley Cup, who are the only Latvians to lift the most prestigious trophy in hockey.
