The Italian first division football club FC Bologna has appointed Vincenzo Italiano as its new coach. The 46-year-old will succeed Thiago Motta at the team that finished fifth in Serie A last season. The club announced this on Wednesday.
Italiano had previously coached league rivals AC Florence for three years. He had also announced his departure from there due to disappointment over the loss in the Conference League final against Olympiakos Piraeus. Motta is set to take over as coach at record champions Juventus Turin for the new season.
