Wiesberger and Schwab make cut in Ravenna

Bernd Wiesberger and Matthias Schwab made the cut at the tournament in Ravenna with prize money of 3.25 million dollars. Wiesberger played another round of 70 at the Italian Open on Friday and is in joint 45th place with 140 strokes (2 under par). Schwab, who also recorded a 70 on the scorecard, is one stroke behind in 56th place. For Lukas Nemecz, however, the tournament is over; with 143 strokes he missed out on the weekend in 84th place.

In Ravenna, too, a place in the British Open is still at stake. The two best golfers in the tournament who have not yet qualified for the fourth major of the year will receive an Open ticket. The American Gunner Wiebe is in the lead with nine under par.
