Annie J. took to her TikTok account to denounce ESPN’s decision to feature a 20-second segment of her and her friend licking ice cream. The two girls reportedly received inappropriate comments on social media.

“We all knew how this video was going to go,” she said in a video posted earlier this week.

“We wanted to enjoy a baseball game and it was 100 degrees,” she added. “We wanted to eat ice cream. After that, people may wonder why women don’t feel welcome in this kind of environment. This is completely crazy. It’s like we can no longer sit and eat in peace.”

A few moments earlier, she had just eaten a hot dog. She claimed to have hidden to avoid being in the sights of a cameraman.

“This is the kind of thing that sexualizes women, but ESPN can be vague enough and the ambiguity is what protects them,” she lamented. “They’re just opening the door for crazy people to do whatever they want with it.”

The main interested party gave ESPN the finger.

“Stop contributing to this problem and stop making sport not a place where women can feel welcome and safe.”
