Yuri Ferrigno shines at 4 Nations Para Badminton International with two victories

Two victories for Yuri Ferrigno at the 4 Nations Para Badminton International underway in Glasgow, Scotland. The Italian won on his debut in the singles draw against the strong Frenchman David Toupe with a peremptory 21-14, 21-15, a result that leaves no room for interpretation.

Ferrigno then repeated himself in the doubles draw paired with the Swiss Luca Ogliati: the two prevailed over the Anderson – Bilenki duo 21-4, 21-9.

Defeat, however, for Rosa Efomo De Marco, overcome in her debut match by the Japanese Toyoda in two sets (21-10, 21-15).

Today, Ferrigno faces the Japanese Nagashima in the men’s singles while Rosa De Marco, in the women’s singles, has to deal with the number 2 seed, the Indian Murugesan. In the women’s doubles, the Sicilian athlete, paired with Emona Ivanova, will challenge the duo made up of the Ukrainian Kozyna and the Portuguese Monteiro.
