Very intense and very nice weekend for the family of the Zamorano judowhich held a gala-party this past Saturday to end the 2023-24 academic year with great successes, many joys and, of course, some sadness.
In the gala which took place in the assembly hall of the Morales del Vino City Council, The delegation wanted to recognize the judokas, clubs and people who in one way or another stood out in the sport.
For example, the youngest judokas, the best in school games and the winners of the competition were recognized. ‘Why I like judo’annual contest that the delegation holds for the little ones.
Also awarded were the regional medalists, being a total of fourteen; those who got it in Spanish Cups, a total of fifteen; and seven in international championships. In addition, a trophy was given to AMPA from the Morales del Vino Educational Center and Belén Moreno for her help to this sport and the award for best judoka was given to Elena Bahamonde with a spectacular track record.
Additionally, the award was given to Judo Morales as the best club, for having four judokas and the teacher in the Technical Center for elite athletes of Castilla y León and for winning medalists in all the regional and international championships, as well as the award for the best coach at the Zamora Sports Gala 2024.
After the serious part, the party with a workoutwhere judokas were able to practice their sport with their mothers and fathers and where the latter were able to see first-hand the high level of judo their children have and how difficult and tough this sport is.
Then, food of the judo family in the form of paella for more than 160 diners. In the afternoon, traditional football match of mothers and fathers against judokas, where once again the judoka team beat the fathers and mothers with a humiliating final result of 6-2.
Once the match was over, in the courtyard of the City Hall, inflatables and mechanical bull for the enjoyment of children and not so children; a Snack dinner until the time came when the judokas over eight years old were waiting for their parents, friends and family, who left and stayed to sleep on the tatami.
