A total of 126 Ukrainian athletes will take part in the Paris Olympics, but under special conditions, since their country is at war. According to the Ukrainian Olympic Committee, more than 400 professional athletes have been killed in the fighting since February 2022, while many athletes have put their sports careers on hold to join the army.
