9-Year-Old Tennis Prodigy Banned From Competing After Beating 57-Year-Old Player

And young 9 year old tennis player of the Alderley Edge Tennis Club of Cheshire (Great Britain) has been suppressed and banned from participating in LTA tennis tournaments after beat a 57-year-old player.

Yannick Mendler-Jackson beat Gavin Smith 6-1, 6-3, but his victory was stricken from the Lawn Tennis Association’s records.

The newspaper The Sun The Lawn Tennis Association reports that only players born on or before 31 December 2010 can play in its competition.

The LTA maintains that its age eligibility rules in its National League are designed to protect young players and manage their development.
