The Forge hall was packed for the general meeting of the Sologne des Étangs badminton club, Friday, June 28, 2024. The president, Guillaume Chenuet, officiated in front of the assembly with a dynamic presentation, supported by a video projector. The club presented the traditional feathers and diplomas to this season’s recipients. Cédric Grosjean, director of the Centre-Val de Loire Regional Badminton League, came to present the club with a banner for the conviviality label, gold level. It will be difficult to do better next year, but the club president is not worried, the club will apply for another challenge.
The moral assessment is conditioned by the activity report. It traces the dynamism of all, both that of the members and that of the volunteer supervisors, but also of the office. In the sports assessment, the club participated in 41 competitions, 16 players were finalists and 12 young people participated in competitions. Marion and Kévin will train to become volunteer coaches. Marion’s record was highlighted. She played 100% of her matches and won them all in tournaments. In addition, the club organizes tournaments in favor of the Telethon and for the League against cancer, operations whose proceeds are redistributed. For fun, once a year, the club offers to play badminton in the dark, the shuttlecocks and accessories are fluorescent. Finally, the club is a partner of the Orléans Masters, a badminton tournament that is played every year in Orléans.
In terms of management, Christine, the treasurer, announced that things are not going so badly. The club covers its expenses, invests in equipment… The assembly therefore voted in favor of the presentation of the accounts. The entire office was re-elected, two assistant positions were created, Fred and Kévin were elected to strengthen the staff.
