FC Barcelona were in for a surprise on Thursday. Ivo Camacho, the agent of Hull City striker Jaden Philogene-Bidace, suddenly showed up at the Catalan giants’ complex. However, Barcelona are unaware of any talks that were planned with the management of the 22-year-old London-born Philogene-Bidace.
Philogene-Bidace was linked with Barcelona earlier this summer, who have no intention of bringing the young Englishman to LaLiga. Despite this, his agent travelled to Barcelona to promote his client.
Camacho shared several photos in his Instagram Stories on Thursday. They show him taking a plane to Barcelona and entering the grounds of the Spanish top club. He took his time taking photos, but was eventually ordered to leave by security guards.
Jaden Philogene’s agent showed up to the Barcelona offices unannounced, began a photoshoot in the car park, and was eventually asked to leave by security.

In Barcelona circles there is surprise about Camacho’s action. Philogene-Bidace is not in the picture of the technical management and the Catalans do not rule out that it is a PR stunt by the agent, so that other clubs will get involved in the battle for Philogene-Bidace.
Barcelona is currently only considering Nico Williams when it comes to strengthening their attack. The 21-year-old left winger from Athletic Club is currently making waves with Spain at the European Championship. Williams will face Germany in the quarter-finals on Friday evening.
Camacho’s Response
Camacho laughs at the massive attention for his visit to Barcelona. “The internet is once again excelling in trolling,” the agent writes on Instagram Stories. “Negative news always spreads faster than positive news. If you really believe this, then social media really has you in its power.”
“If you’re a person of color in this industry, they’ll do everything they can to not let you win. But remember, we came from the gutter and we’re still growing. Let’s reach for the top,” the combative Camacho said.
