Good morning everyone, friends of OA Sport! We welcome you to the live broadcast of Italy-Puerto Rico, Basketball Pre-Olympic 2024! It is the most important challenge of this first phase, with a tricolor victory that would allow the Azzurri not to meet the fearsome Lithuania immediately in the semifinals.

Italy made its debut late on Tuesday night against Bahrain, winning clearly by 114-53 with 13 points by Danilo Gallinari well supported by Stefano Tonut and Achille Polonara. Given the modest opponent, CT Pozzecco used the entire roster available, in view of the difficult match on the horizon.

Puerto Rico plays at home with the crowd on their side who will try to cheer on coach Nelson Colon’s men after the positive debut against Bahrain who remains bottom of the table with zero victories. Watch out for Tremont Waters in the control room together with Jose Alvarado it’s at Jordan Howard on offense, with George Conditt IV ready to grab rebounds.
