Amparo Chapa competed in the race with Sara Cueto, Alba Fernández and María del Carmen Mendoza. Chapa was quickly positioned, in the first race, as the successor to Ainara Elbusto, achieving a time of 3:16 in the first partial. She was, without a doubt, the candidate to beat, but none of her rivals managed to be up to par either in the second part of the race, with Chapa arriving with an advantage in the last metres and without any pursuers who would make her fear of crossing the finish line first, proclaiming herself Spanish XCE champion.
Chapa was followed by Sara Cueto and Alba Fernández climbed to the third step.
