Archery Club Association Upgrades Land for Improved Training and Competitions

On Saturday, members of the archery club association carried out a levelling of their land located near the village hall.

The development of the embankment, taken care of by the town hall, having been completed, we are taking the opportunity to change the compressed straw panels on eight of our eleven targets,” explains the president Christophe Hatte, adding that the latter were around ten years old.

In addition, these panels were protected by tarpaulins which over time had become porous. They have now been replaced by steel sheet roofs which are more reliable in the face of bad weather.

Finally, all this finished, the fixed targets were put back at distances of 70, 60, 50, 40 and 30 meters. The club also has four targets on wheels for indoor and outdoor training at 18 meters.

As for the sports season, the president says he is rather satisfied with the results of the young people who have placed honorably in several competitions. On the adult side, Christèle Haran-Letourneur and Eric Salmon are eligible for the French countryside championship in Chartreuse (Jura), an event that will take place on July 8 and 9. The year ends with 32 licensees. I would like to reach 40 for next season, notes the president.
