“The Parisians come to greet us and compliment us for this match which will undoubtedly remain the most challenging I have ever seen at this level. Behind them, someone taps me on the shoulder, the President of the League and the Federation come to greet me for this great team, I thank them but I say to myself, it’s not possible, luck doesn’t want to smile on us. Valentin tells me, it’s not even a lack of luck, it’s bad luck. We have to remobilize and even if the other 3 matches remain anecdotal, we beat Marseille 6 to 2, we lose in the play-off round by 1 point against favorites who have also fallen, Neuilly-sur-Marne (with 2 former archers from the French Olympic team) and we finish by winning 6 to 0 against the Normans of Notre-Dame-de-Gravenchon. Summary of the day, we finish 11th.
