Last Sunday, July 7, the CICA club shooting range in Santa Pola was the scene of the Regional Open Air Archery Championship, where the archers from the ARCORASPEIG club shined with their own light. In the Olympic Archery category, Sofía Bueno was crowned champion in the Benjamín category, while in the under-15 category, Héctor Ibáñez won the title of champion and Camilo Esteve took second place. Juan Galiana, in the novice category, finished in a creditable fourth position.

In the Compound Bow category, José Luis López was crowned champion in the under-15 category and Ángel Hermida obtained an outstanding fourth place in the absolute category. In the Traditional Bow category, Virginia Tapia took the title of absolute champion, with Félix Casado finishing in fourth position, José Ibáñez in 13th place and Conrado Altizio in 15th. In the Longbow category, Nicasio Martínez reached the runner-up position and Luis López won the bronze medal.

The excellent results obtained by the ARCORASPEIG archers in this regional championship represent an excellent prelude to the Spanish Championships, which will be held in Madrid throughout the month of July. These achievements demonstrate the high level and dedication of the club’s athletes, who continue to consolidate their reputation in the field of archery.
