Fidel Cifuentes added 12 points and 11 rebounds. Argentina shot 34% from the field with 7 of 26 three-pointers and 10 of 17 free throws. He grabbed 21 offensive rebounds and caused 22 turnovers for his opponent.
After Thursday’s free day, the activity will continue next Friday with the Play-Off for ninth place. Argentina will face the Philippines at 8:30 a.m. and can be seen on DirecTV Sports and on the FIBA channel on YouTube.
