Hopeful news came out earlier this week from the Arizona Diamondbacks regarding Eduardo Rodriguez’s health after New York Post reporter Jon Heyman posted on his personal Twitter account that the seasoned Venezuelan pitcher will undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the status of his left shoulder injury.

In this regard, Heyman himself points out that “E-Rod” hopes that everything goes well with regards to the rehabilitation that he has been doing since Spring Training and that has not allowed him to debut with the “desert” uniform since he signed with the National League champion at the end of 2023.
If the medical evaluations are favorable, the D-Backs plan to immediately add the Valencian to the pitching staff and, in principle, as an intermediate reliever.
Rodriguez could be a starter in at least three weeks.
