Arsenal are still working hard and have taken another step towards becoming the destination for a coveted defender. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, an expert in the transfer market, the English club have reached an agreement with Riccardo Calafiori. They are therefore looking to double Bologna’s interest.
Calafiori, 22, is on the rise after performing well at the European Championship. He stood out for Bologna last season and is now establishing himself with the Italian national team. This has sparked a race in the transfer market.
With Calafiori’s “yes” to a contract until 2029, the English board is intensifying negotiations with Bologna. The Italians are asking for around 50 million euros (R$296.3 million).
Ricardo is a Roma product. However, he did not get many chances in the first team. So, he went to Genoa, on loan, and then to Basel, in Switzerland. Incidentally, the Swiss club holds a percentage of a possible sale.
