But the first newcomer of the summer transfer window seems to be a left back. Riccardo Calafiori is on his way to the Emirates Stadium.
Deal worth over 40 million
The Italian was one of the mainstays at Serie A revelation Bologna last season and made quite an impression in that capacity. He was then one of the few bright spots at the disappointing Italy at the European Championship. Now a top transfer is added to that. According to transfer watcher Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal and Bologna have agreed on a transfer fee of 40 million euros, supplemented with bonuses. As soon as the final details have been sorted out, Calafiori can sign a five-year contract.

Striking: via her social media channels Benedetta Boem, until recently his girlfriend, knows that she and the Italian international have split. The breakup is said to have been official for a few days. In her announcement, the lady in question also confirms that Calafiori is going to Arsenal.
