ASSE got its ticket to Ligue 1 on Sunday, June 2, 2024. If the Greens managed to achieve their goal, they owe it largely to the first team staff. Olivier Dall’Oglio in the front line. A staff that should be consolidated in the coming weeks.

Very quickly after the officialization of the sale of the club, Ivan Gazidis confirmed the staff in place in their functions. Olivier Dall’Oglio remains the coach of ASSE and will be able to work in continuity with his staff. He should see other elements come to complete his team.

Olivier Dall’Oglio (Head Coach – ASS)

A Stéphanois since December 12, 2023, Olivier Dall’Oglio took over from Laurent Batlles with a short-term goal: to return to Ligue 1. A goal that the coach managed to achieve at the end of the suspense. Having played for Dijon, Brest and Montpellier, Olivier Dall’Oglio will return to the Elite with the Greens.

Gregory Peres (Principal Assistant – ASSE)

A former PE teacher, ODO’s assistant is his true right-hand man. Having also worked in Dijon, Brest and Montpellier, Gregory Pérès accompanies the daily coach. “You have to be able to give your feelings because it wouldn’t be honest to always go along with the coach if you don’t completely agree. We discuss, we exchange, the coach decides and from the moment he has defined a line of conduct, we are fully behind him.”

Jean-François Bédénik (Goalkeeper Coach – ASSE)

Since 2022, Jeff has joined the first team staff: “Holder of the Goalkeeper Coach Certificate since the summer of 2017, he joined AS Saint-Étienne immediately after where he took charge of the specific training of goalkeepers at the Saint-Étienne training center. After having enabled several of them to reach the national A, Olympique or Espoirs selections and having carried out several interim positions in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, he will now be responsible for the preparation of the professional group’s goalkeepers.”

Benjamin Guy (Physical Trainer – ASSE)

He also knows Olivier Dall’Oglio very well. Having played for Dijon, Brest and Montpellier, he has the confidence of ODO. A close-knit staff that met up again last December. However, Benjamin Guy had joined ASSE in December 2022, replacing Sébastien Sangnier.

And 11 other people!

Olivier Dall’Oglio can also rely on several other members who complete this staff. This is notably the case of Philippe Djo Petitjean (Physical Trainer), Sonny Vitulli (Video Analyst), Tarak Bouzaabia (Doctor), Fred Emile (Team Manager), Fabrice Di Natale (Steward), Mehdi Boussaïd (Dietician), Laurent Bensadi (masseur), and four physiotherapists.

Reinforcements to come

According to the latest information from L’Equipe, Olivier Dall’Oglio will see his staff grow even more in the coming weeks: ” Discussions are reportedly underway to strengthen it, in particular with a specialist attacking technician. It seems, through the many discussions, that a real need has been felt in the support and integration of new players, to help them in their search for accommodation and daily procedures.
