The expedition of the Asti archers to the Regional Target Championship was very full and full of satisfactions. It started last Sunday with the Barebow and Compound divisions and ended yesterday with the Olympic Bow division. The competitions were held at the Paschiero stadium in Cuneo
The lion’s share went to Roberto Marengo of Arcieri delle Alpi, who shot last Sunday in the compound division, finishing 8th with 624 points, but winning the team silver medal.
Yesterday in the Olympic Bow division, he won almost everything: Regional Champion Master category with 611 points (second overall score), regional team champion master category with 1676 points together with his teammates Rovera C. and Ritorto A.
Regional absolute team champion with Bianchi M. and Botto G., and again silver medal in the mixed team absolute classification.
Another great protagonist was Leonardo Arossa of the Clarascum company. Leonardo in the individual boys ranking comes second with a score of 671 points behind only his teammate Protto G. who wins the regional title with 682 points.
Leonardo together with Protto G. and Tedesco A. wins the regional title for boys teams with 1831 points. And wins first place in the team, in the direct clashes for the absolute boys classification
A regional title was taken home by Alessandro Paesante of the Arcieri della Quercia di Cantarana, who beat everyone in the youth category with a score of 661 points.
Regional title in the women’s master team also for Patrizia Atzeni who with her teammates Nicola P and Repetto R for the Arceri Prealpi Biellesi with 1290 points took home the gold medal. In the individual competition she ranked 6th with 413 points
Luana Zucca of the Arcieri della Quercia di Cantarana took home a bronze medal in the senior women’s Compound division with 528 points.
Also participating for the Arcieri della rovere in the senior men’s compound division were Massimo Musso who ranked 11th with 568 points and Francesco Arnoldi who scored 602 points and obtained 14th place.
The Arceri Astarco present themselves with two athletes in the men’s Olympic division, Massimo Moscatiello obtains 502 points which bring him to 7th position, while Fabrizio Arossa with 487 points ranks 1st.
Finally, the call-up to the Piedmontese representative team arrived for Marengo Giada, who will participate in the Coppa Italia delle Regioni in Città della Pieve on 20 and 21 July.
