Avilés has already made its fourth signing. The blue and whites have signed José Antonio Soler, a 28-year-old right-back who arrives after a great year at Numancia, Avilés’ future rival. The Valencian, a player with a great deal of experience in the category, arrives to fight for a place with Marcos Trabanco and joins the arrivals in the defensive area of Josín Martínez and Luis Martínez, as well as the defensive pivot Kevin Bautista.
Trained in the Alcoyano youth academy, Soler has accumulated many minutes in Segunda B, in teams such as Eldense, Ontinyent, Cultural Leonesa, Olot and CD Ibiza, a club in which he played almost three thousand minutes and where he enjoyed greater continuity. The Valencian, a right-back by experience, also tried out the First Federation defending the colours of his training club, Alcoyano, playing almost two thousand minutes spread over 33 matches, managing to score one goal. Last year he played in Los Pajaritos, Numancia’s ground, where he participated in 29 matches, 28 of them as a starter, and added almost two thousand five hundred minutes of play.
He has now arrived to reinforce Avilés’ defensive line, the club’s main priority when it comes to moving in the transfer market. The Valencian joins the signings of Josín Martínez, Luis Martínez and Kevin Bautista.
