The easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga (easyCredit BBL) is entering the coming 2024/25 season with a new ball partner. Baden Sports exclusively provide the official match ball. The contract was signed for a term of four years with the distribution partner for Baden Sports, uhlsport GmbH, and in addition to the official ball partnership for the easyCredit BBL matches, it also provides for other customized ball merchandise for the clubs. Baden Sports replaces the long-standing ball partner Spalding, who had provided the official easyCredit BBL match equipment since the 2007/2008 season.
Baden Sports, based in Kent near Seattle in the US state of Washington, was founded in 1979 and produces high-quality balls for basketball, volleyball, soccer, futsal, football, softball and baseball. The company’s first product innovation was the development of a smaller women’s basketball (size 6), which the NCAA introduced as the official game ball in 1984. The brand name Baden goes back to a vacation taken by the company’s founder, EC Schindler, in Baden Baden.
