Belgium vs France: Tedesco Set to Make Changes in Starting XI for Round of 16 Clash

The newspapaer are reporting that Domenico Tedesco is expected to make two changes to the Red Devils starting XI for their Round of 16 clash with France. Dodi Lukebakio is expected to come back into the starting XI following his suspension, replacing Arsenal forward Lenadro Trossard who has struggled to make an impact at the tournament so far. In central midfield, Youri Tielemans is expected to drop to the bench, with Orel Mangala coming back to partner Amadou Onana.

Mangala’s inclusion would signal a more defensive from Tedesco as he looks to try and limit the impact of the French midfield. Belgium have been poor in the tournament so far, struggling against Slovakia and being very uninspiring against Ukraine. They did show glimpses of their quality against Romania, but even then the eventual Group E winners had chances to get a point.

If Belgium are to have any hope against France they will need to play at their very best. Not many Belgian fans or media pundits are giving the Red Devils much of a chance to progress further at Euro 2024.
