In recent days, Martín Blanco announced through his Instagram account his decision to leave Belgrano by mutual agreement with the management, “due to differences in criteria and times,” according to the coach himself. From this departure, several conjectures were woven in relation to the basketball future of the Rojo; especially regarding the “professional” field after what was a very poor campaign in the Federal League (with a quick elimination against Los Indios de Junín and only two games won in fourteen appearances in the competition). In the Subcommittee there were divided opinions regarding whether to continue with the paid activity or not. In principle, from what EL NORTE was able to find out, some conditions would be given for Belgrano to continue competing at this level, as it has been doing since 2021 (with nine participations in the Federal League, it is the San Nicolás club with the greatest number of seasons in the category). There are still some specific issues to be defined with the institution’s Board of Directors, about which there will be news shortly. While it is being decided whether or not this sporting process will finally be interrupted, Belgrano confirmed its new coach in place of Blanco. It will be Lucas Mazzoni, a young man who started in the Belgrano youth team as a player and coach and who this year managed Sacachispas. Before, in Belgrano he was Rafael Calcaterra’s assistant. Mazzoni will manage the Rojo representative in the local First Division and in principle he would also be in charge of the team in the Prefederal.
