Beryl, now a Category 3 hurricane, continues its path towards the Yucatan Peninsula – El Sol de México

Early Thursday morning, Hurricane Beryl was downgraded to Category 3, after reaching Category 4 on the Saffir Simpson scale and slowing down around midnight.

Beryl crossed open waters yesterday as a Category 4 hurricane, leaving devastation in its wake and remaining firmly on course for the Yucatan Peninsula after making landfall in the southeastern Caribbean, where it caused at least six deaths.
