Bodrum Basketbol to Compete in FIBA Euro Cup for the First Time in Club History

BODRUM, (DHA) – Bodrum Basketbol, ​​which finished the Turkish Women’s Basketball League as the Play-Off champion and advanced to the Super League, will compete in the FIBA ​​Euro Cup in the new season. Expressing their pride in playing a European cup match for the first time in Muğla province, club president Orhun Gencer said, “We have become the fifth team to represent our country in Europe after Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş and Çukurova, the locomotive clubs of women’s basketball. Our opponents will be determined after the draw to be held in Munich, Germany on July 18.”

Stating that season ticket sales will start soon, Mayor Gencer said, “Our current sponsorship negotiations are ongoing. We expect the support of all the people of Muğla and Bodrum. I would like to thank Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras and Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, who have always been by our side during this season in which we will experience firsts.”

Orhun Gencer announced that they have signed contracts with Serbian national player Tina Krasnik, as well as Melis Gülcan and Pelin Derya Bilgiç. The Bodrum team will start their work on August 4.
