Bronny James’ Path to the Lakers: A Second-Division Start

A place on the Lakers for Bronny James alongside his father after only one year of college and a low-key performance, a performance where everyone praised him and a salary of 8 million, above what a second-round draft pick usually earns.

Everything was too pretty and perfect for the base of 19 yearswhose contract seemed to have fine print: he will play with the Lakers’ G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the plan of the Los Angeles team is to make Bronny debut with the NBA team – in order to take the long-awaited photo with his father – and then move him to the G-League, a kind of second division of the best league in the world.

The point guard will spend much of his time with the Lakers’ reserve team, despite the fact that his contract is not a two-way contract, the type of contract that players usually sign between the NBA and the G-League teams.

Bronny’s agent, Rich Paul -the same as LeBron-, had made it clear that the point guard was not going to sign a two-way contract to compete in the second division, something not at all unusual in the case of a player with such a low selection in the draft (55).

The Lakers have not mentioned it officially, nor was it directly discussed at the point guard’s presentation despite the talk of the player’s development. But it is already known that Wojnarowski’s words are gospel. The dazzling arrival of Bronny James had small letter.
