Bryan Gil will play on loan at Girona next season

MADRID, 29 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Striker Bryan Gil will play for Girona FC next season 2024-2025, after the Catalan club reached an agreement with English side Tottenham for the loan of the player, who returns to LaLiga EA Sports after his experience in Valencia and Sevilla, according to a statement.

“Girona FC has reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the loan of winger Bryan Gil until the end of the season. The new 23-year-old Atletico striker has already passed his medical and will join training tomorrow under the orders of Míchel Sánchez,” the Catalan club reported on its website.

Girona has signed a “skilled and fast player” who “stands out for his dribbling and ability to take on defenders with ease, especially in one-on-one situations,” according to the statement issued by the team, which sees Gil as “an important asset for creating goal-scoring opportunities,” also highlighting his versatility in attack.

Gil began his career in Sevilla’s youth ranks, making his debut in the first team at the age of 18, and playing in four Europa League matches. In the winter transfer window of the 2019-2020 season, he went on loan to Leganés, and went on loan the following season, this time to Eibar. In July 2021, he was transferred to English side Tottenham, although he returned after half a season in the Premier League, on loan to Valencia and Sevilla.

A Spanish international from the U16 to U23 levels, Gil was part of the team that won the European Under-19 Championship in 2019, playing in the semi-final and final, and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Under-19 Cup in the summer of 2021. He made his senior debut against Greece in March 2021 and won silver with Spain at the Tokyo Olympics.
