Cancun airport cancels 348 flights due to Hurricane Beryl – El Sol de México

Cancun International Airport cancelled 348 flights scheduled for Thursday through Saturday due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl.

In a statement, the airport reported that there are 174 scheduled landing operations and the same number of takeoffs.

The Early Warning Group for Hydrometeorological Phenomena indicated that the journey from the hotel zone to the airport involves traveling several kilometers where there are no safety conditions due to the risk posed by the hurricane.

In this regard, they asked users not to go to the terminal if they do not have a confirmed flight and to seek shelter from the storm.

Since Wednesday, airlines have implemented protection policies for their customers so that they can change their flights or request refunds if they have a trip scheduled to the Beryl impact zone.
