Carpegna Ham Basket Pesaro Signs Offensive Threat Khalil Ahmed for 2024/2025 Season

Offensive danger, intensity and excellent knowledge of European basketball: the Carpegna Ham Basket Pesaro communicates that it has signed an agreement with Khalil Ahmed. Guard born in 1996, 193 cm and weighing 84 kg, will be one of the two foreigners on the roster for the 2024/2025 season led by coach ‘Pino’ Sacripanti.

Coming out of Fullerton College, Ahmad’s professional career began in 2019 with Keflavik, in Iceland. In 2020/2021 he was in Denmark in Horsens, then the following year he moved to Canada: with the Niagara River Lions he averaged 20.7 points and 4.6 assists: he was named player of the year in the Canadian championship. His excellent performances earned him a place in the Israeli championship for 2022/2023, where he played with Hapoel Be’er Sheva: at the end of this experience he returned to Canada, again with the Niagara River Lions. Ahmad was once again a protagonist, winning the title of best defender of the year. In the summer of 2023 he returned to Europe: he faced and won the Belgian-Dutch championship with the Filou Ostenda jersey, with former VL Sam Van Rossom as his teammate. He averages 23 minutes and 17 points per game, with 38.2% from three and 81.6% from free throws. He also plays in the Champions League: in nine games he totals 22.6 minutes per game and 12.8 points on average.
