Casper Ruud still can’t do it at Wimbledon. The Norwegian, world number 8, lost to the Italian Fabio Fognini, world number 94 (6-4, 7-5, 6-7 [1]6-3). Ruud was on hold from the third set, where Fognini served for the match twice, but was unable to close it out. Finally, the Italian wrapped up the match in the fourth set to earn a third round at Wimbledon at the age of 37.
Casper Ruud has never managed to reach the third round at Wimbledon. Fognini will face the winner of the match between Lorenzo Sonego and Roberto Bautista Agut.
