The club opened the doors of its dojo to the families of the members for a moment of sharing and sport. Under the direction of the sports instructor, Stéphane Chassin, 5th dan black belt, the novices were able to discover the basics of judo: fun warm-up leading to the fall, practice in pairs, a great team game that delighted the youngsters.
To close a demonstration of self-defense/ju-jitsu by the followers of this discipline. At the end of the session, an official grading ceremony allowed each judoka – young and old – to adorn themselves with their new belt. The president gave each child a medal to congratulate them on this season.
The martial arts association has seen its membership grow this season, a sign of the club’s good health. At the adult judo level, it is worth noting the successes of Stéphane Bruère (obtaining the katas for accession to the 3rd dan), Philippe Goudard (validation of the technical judo part for the 2nd dan) and Julien Wageman (obtaining the kata for the 1st dan). If a recreational practice remains the main idea of the majority of members, the technical quality is there.

President Stéphane Bruère, on behalf of the French Judo Federation and the Haute-Loire committee, presented letters of congratulations from France Judo to the two pillars of the club: more than 20 years of volunteering for judo. A reward for their dedication, whether for the smooth running of the association, but also for their investment as sports commissioners on departmental events.
For the 2024/2025 school year, children will be able to discover and improve their judo skills on Mondays from 5:20 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. and Fridays from 6:20 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Teenagers/adults on Mondays from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (judo) and Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. (self-defense and judo). Classes will begin on September 9 at the Chadrac gymnasium.
