Claro Sports and Repretel to Broadcast 2024 Paris Olympics in Costa Rica, Providing Comprehensive Coverage

Claro Sports and Repretel will be the channels in charge of broadcasting the 2024 Paris Olympics in Costa Ricaensuring a comprehensive and affordable coverage from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

Repretelformally known as Representaciones Televisivas, is a Costa Rican free-to-air television company. It currently owns four channels: Channel 2, Channel 4, Channel 6 and Channel 11which will feature live competitions and daily summaries of the Olympic Games. This company belongs to the international conglomerate Albavisión.

Claro Sportson the other hand, prepared a multiplatform to offer the “better experience and coverage” in 17 Latin American countries. Viewers will be able to choose which activities to follow, where to do it and from which screen to connect to the Olympic activity. This channel, of Mexican origin, will offer more than 2,000 hours of production, including live competitions, highlights and replays of the best moments.

In pay TV and streaming systems, Claro Sports will open four channels dedicated to broadcasting the competitions in real time. A YouTube, will offer simultaneous broadcasts of up to 10 events, narrated and produced in Spanish, in addition to the four linear channels.

Costa Rica currently has six athletes qualified for Paris 2024: Brisa Hennessy in surfing, Gerald Drummond in athletics, Milagro Mena in road cycling, Sebastián Sancho in judo, Alberto Vega in swimming and Alondra Ortiz in swimming.
