On the last day of the preliminary phase of the Copa America, Colombia drew 1-1 with Brazil and advanced to the quarter-finals as top of the group.
Raphinha put the green and gold team ahead in the 12th minute, then in the first half’s injury time Daniel Munoz scored for the tricolor. Colombia will face Panama in the next round, while Brazil, who finished second in the group, will face Uruguay.
Costa Rica and Paraguay did not advance beyond the preliminary phase of the continental tournament, with Los Ticos beating the red and white national team 2-1 in the other match of the group played last night (during the night in Italy) in the United States, finishing third: goals by Francisco Calvo in the 3rd minute and Josimar Alcocer in the 7th minute for Costa Rica, goal by Ramon Sosa in the 55th minute for Paraguay.
