Bola.net – Complete list of clubs that have successfully qualified for the semifinals of the 2024 President’s Cup. Borneo FC become the first club to qualify for the semifinals of the 2024 President’s Cup.
The 2024 President’s Cup will be participated by eight teams divided into two groups. Group A is occupied by Borneo FC, Persib Bandung (host), Persis Solo, and PSM Makassar. Group A is played at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium.
Meanwhile, Group B is occupied by Bali United (host), Madura United, and Persija Jakarta. Then, there is the defending champion Arema FC. Group B is played at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium.
In the 2024 President’s Cup, each team is allowed to play all the foreign players they have. So, it is possible to have eight foreign players in the starting XI of each participating club.

2024 President’s Cup Regulations: Who Qualifies for the Semifinals?

In the group stage, the 2024 President’s Cup uses a single round-robin format. So, each team will face each other once. A win gets three points, a draw is worth one point, and a loss gets no points.
From the group stage, the top two teams in the standings will advance to the semifinals. There is no best third place or other, only the top two teams in the standings advance to the semifinals.
In the semifinals, the winner of Group A will meet the runner-up of Group B. Then, the winner of Group B will face the runner-up of Group A. The teams that win in the semifinals will meet in the final.

The competition to qualify for the semifinals is very tight. From Group A, the competition is still open for PSM Makassar and Persis Solo. The third matchday will determine the fate of both teams.
