An important civil protection project. The Municipality of Scicli has started work to consolidate the banks of the Modica-Scicli torrent along the so-called Fiumara in the Fontanelle district for a sum of 567 thousand euros. According to what was announced by the mayor Mario Marino and the councilor Enzo Giannone, the contract was awarded to the company Mi.Co Srl of Mussomeli. The work to secure the riverbed in the Modica-Scicli section was financed by the Civil Protection following the damage caused by the flood in January 2017.
