(ANSA) – HOUSTON, JULY 4 – Leo Messi’s health status remains uncertain ahead of the Copa America quarterfinal match against Ecuador. Messi missed Argentina’s final group game on Saturday, a 2-0 win over Peru, due to a sore right knee tendon.
Coach Lionel Scaloni said he will decide after training. “We will wait a few hours before making a decision. It is always better to have an extra day,” he said in a press conference. “Yesterday we had good feelings and we will take advantage of this day to define the team based on the reaction we have today,” he added.
