Portuguese media have given their opinions on Cristiano Ronaldo’s position in the team. In fact, Portugal’s leading newspaper, Publiconly gave a rating of 4/10 for the Al Nassr player.

“Another poor performance from the captain. Just like in the previous game – although not so much – he spent a lot of time on the pitch.

“Then he made bad decisions in the finishing area, bad passes in front of goal, he spoiled some plays and was not accurate in the finishing area.”

“Ronaldo doesn’t attack the spaces, doesn’t explore the depth, doesn’t offer goals and doesn’t finish as he has throughout his career. It’s debatable whether Ronaldo, in this condition, is an advantage rather than a disadvantage for this team,” Publico wrote.

“What would have happened if Ronaldo had come off the bench, fresh and the Slovenian team was tired? We will never know.”
