CUNEO – The 2024 regional events concluded on Sunday 30 June with the Regional Target Championship, reserved for the recurve division. The Fratelli Paschiero stadium in Cuneo once again hosted the challenges that assigned the class titles, on the 72 arrows, and absolute titles (team, mixed team and individual) with the organization of the local clubs (Arcieri dell’Elice, Arclub Fossano, Gruppo Arcieri Monregalesi and Arcieri di Cuneo) and the support of the city administration.
Andrea Cammilleri (Arcieri Varian) wins the title in the men’s Olympic, beating Federico Puglisi (DLF Alessandria) 7-3 in the final, Andrea Maggi (Arcieri Città della Paglia) closes the podium. In the women’s, it is a derby all of the Arcieri delle Alpi that wins without hesitation (6-0) the Italian Paralympic Elisabetta Mijno over Anna Botto, third place for Nicole Degani (Arcieri Iuvenilia).
Both winners confirmed their respective first class positions.
The Arcieri delle Alpi (Bianchi, Botto, Marengo) won the overall regional men’s team title, beating the Arcieri Iuvenilia (Coppola, Morello, Paoli) 5-1 in the final, with third place going to the Arcieri Prealpi Biellesi (Sanelli, Sartini, Zatti).
Also in the women’s category, victory for the Arcieri delle Alpi (Mijno, Ceriana, Lamprati) over the Arcieri Prealpi Biellesi (Atzeni, Nicola, Repetto), without however being awarded the regional title.
In the mixed team challenges, the Arcieri Iuvenilia (Degani, Paoli) prevailed, winning 5-1 over the Arcieri delle Alpi (Mijno, Marengo), with the Compagnia Arcieri Biella (Pivaro, Lega) completing the podium.
There was also room for the challenges of the youth sector: the Arcieri Clarascum (Bergia, Abrate) won the title in the mixed team Allievi, ahead of the DLF Alessandria (Tessaglia, Pino) and the Arclub Fossano (Conte, Streri).
In the boys’ teams, victory for the Clarascum Archers (Arosso, Protto, Tedesco) over the GAM (Bressano, Di Pasqua, Gallesio) and the home team, the Arcieri dell’Elice (Giordana, Parola, Ramonda).
In the mixed team boys, the title goes to the Gruppo Arcieri Monregalesi (Arnolfo, Di Pasqua) who beat the Arcieri Iuvenilia duo (Tucci, Abelli) 5-3 in the final, third place for the Arclub Fossano (Streri, Viglietta).
Finally, it is worth mentioning the presence, and relative victory, of an archer from the Visually Impaired 2/3 division (second class for the blind), from the Arcieri dell’Elice: Maurizio Blangero.
