Losing a single point in the group of the Euro 2024 tournament and going home after only three matches is undoubtedly a result that Ivan Hašek will not print on his coaching business cards in golden letters. And neither does the Football Association of the Czech Republic as a whole.
The failure at the tournament in Germany is primarily the result of its long-term staleness, passivity and practically zero dynamism, with which it has basically not devoted itself to issues of the sports development of football in the country for many years. Anyone who does not suffer from blindness can see how 20 years ago the European expressway began to bypass the Czech environment. But in Strahov, the seat of the union, even in all these long years, no one has more or less thought that they should even start trying to catch him.
