Last Wednesday, the “Day of Sports” took place for the 6th time in the Villach Alpenarena. Around 3,000 children and young people had the opportunity to try out a wide variety of sports.

36 local clubs and sports associations presented themselves and their sports on Wednesday in the Villach Alpenarena. “Events like these will be remembered by children and young people for a long time. Many Carinthian athletes gained their first experiences on Sports Day,” emphasised Governor Peter Kaiser (SPÖ) and thanked all participating clubs, associations and volunteers for their commitment.

Clubs presented their offers
Also for Landessportdirektor Arno Arthofer One thing is certain: “This event is a holiday for the sports region of Carinthia.” At various stations, children and young people were able to try out the sports under supervision and instruction. These included classic club and team sports such as football, hockey or volleyball, but judo, chess and darts clubs also presented their offerings.
