French basketball can breathe, the French championship has found a broadcaster for the coming seasons. The French Basketball Federation (FFBB) and the National Basketball League (LNB) have sold the audiovisual rights of Betclic Elite to the sports streaming platform DAZN, for 5 years, from September 2024 to June 2029.
The streaming service will extend its coverage to the All Star Game, the Leaders Cup and a future youth tournament organized by the LNB. “We are extremely satisfied and enthusiastic,” said Philippe Ausseur, president of the LNB. “Basketball is extremely popular on DAZN and the Betclic Elite French championship is a high-quality league, so it was a natural choice for us to invest in this competition,” said Brice Daumin, general manager of DAZN France, while DAZN, included in the Canal+ sports package, broadcasts in France the matches of the international basketball federation, FIBA.
