DB Schenker, a global supply chain management company, has presented at the Zaragoza Conference Centre the new electric vehicle that will become part of its fleet. This is the first large vehicle of this type that the company will operate in the Community of Aragon, which represents a major step in the company’s commitment to low-emission logistics, taking advantage of the city’s potential as a logistics hub and its active commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.

The new vehicle, a 7.5Tn iJAC with a payload of 3000 kg and a range of 230 km, has already begun operating in the Aragonese capital, thus reinforcing DB Schenker’s commitment to sustainability in the region. The activity of this new vehicle will avoid the emission of approximately 15,000 kg of CO2 per year in Zaragoza, assuming it travels 30,000 km/year.

In Aragon, DB Schenker directly employs 68 people and has a fleet of 16 delivery vehicles that make 45 trips a day.

With this addition, DB Schenker demonstrates its commitment to Zaragoza and its objective of continuing to renew its fleet with electric vehicles throughout this year. The company already has an electric fleet made up of 2 vehicles in the Community of Madrid, another 5 in Catalonia and two in the Valencian Community, thus reaffirming its leadership in the transition towards sustainable logistics both nationally and internationally.
