” I think that Kings still have something to do in the offseason… I think they are circling around DeRozan” , said Zach Lowe on Wednesday’s episode of The Lowe Post podcast. He describes Sacramento as a team that could attract the 34-year-old. DeRozan averaged 24.0 points, 5.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game during the season NBA 2023-24 with the Chicago Bulls. Adding such a talented point guard would give the Kings a big offensive boost, alleviating some of the burden on Domantas Sabonis et De’Aaron Fox.

Sacramento is not, however, the only team and not even the only Californian franchise in the running to secure the services of DeRozanbecause the Lakers of The Angels are also making big efforts to land the coveted free agent. Miami Heat is also in the running to sign the six-time NBA All-Star. Some rumors even report that the Spurs trying to attract DeRozan.
Although the Kings have returned to prominence in the NBA in recent years, the franchise still lags behind the top teams in the Western Conference, so adding a top star like DeMar DeRozan would make a big difference in terms of competitiveness. Sacramento has not won a playoff series since the 2003-04 NBA season.
